Head LiceSince January, there have been a few cases of head lice at school. It is very important to go through your child’s hair and make sure it’s free of it.
The head louse is a tiny, wingless parasite insect that lives among human hairs and feeds on extremely small amounts of blood drawn from the scalp. Lice aren’t dangerous and they don’t spread disease, but they are CONTAGIOUS and are very annoying. Though they can’t fly or jump, they crawl and cling firmly to hair. They spread mainly through head-to-head contact, but sharing clothing, bed linens, combs, brushes and hats can help pass them along. Lice eggs (called nits) look like tiny yellow, tan or brown dots before they hatch and cannot be removed by brushing nor shaking them off. The adult louse is no bigger than a sesame seed and is grayish – white or tan. If you discover that your child have them, please contact the school staff. |

Winter is hereWinter is at our doorstep, the children must now wear their winter boots, a warm coat, a hat and mittens. In addition, many students forget their shoes at home. It is important that your children leave at any time a pair of shoes to school. It is also the time to think about renewing the
perishable materials (pencils, erasers, etc.).. |
